Why cant i free the giants in the beta?? Help!

My first guess is bc the mine elevator is very bugged right now - we’re waiting on a quick fix patch from devs for a couple things right now in beta

Iirc once you’ve done the lake temple intro quest, entering the mines then gets chieftain to trigger & start that quest line

But I don’t remember specifics for the free the giants quest line trigger outside of those cutscenes that have happens
