#Full Release - Will Time Reset?

Hey Everyone~!

I've read that some patches and updates cause a soft/hard reset of some in-game progress (totally fair as this game is still in early access), and you do get to keep your belongings and farm mostly as is, but do we have an idea if once Coral Island is officially released if they'll reset everyone's timeline back to Year/Day 1 of Spring (keeping your farm as is)? Or if you're on year 2+, will you remain on year 2+?

I'll no doubt make a new Save file to experience start fresh to see all the new and final polished content regardless, but I am curious what everyone thinks.

Thanks!

their goal is to not force you to start over- if they need to they will let us know- but as of now, you will remain where you are upon release.

the beta team will tell you how to trigger any new items if you choose not to start new files- but ultimately you'll just keep going wherever you are

That's really great news!! I'm a little nervous to continue playing as the game is, but as long as they keep us updated on how to backtrack if we need too 😊

I hope they only reset the year to year 1 on release, since I saw theres a special festival planned for year 2 (I dont remember if its on Spring or Summer, but I saw on the calendar)

Yeah the thought of something new happening on another year is actually what sparked my question because Coral Island devs are going above and beyond the norm for this game genre (which we all love), but it gives me less enthusiasm to keep playing as is even if I'm only at the end of year 1.

iirc it list 'some year 2 event'
i played that day during a previous beta and there was no event then so my guess is its currently a place holder / still WIP
