Villagers Love

Do villagers drop hints about what they love? I’ve been trying to woo Mark, but I can’t get an item he loves. The only thing he’s mentioned is hot chocolate from the coffee stand; but the coffee stand doesn’t sell hot chocolate. I’m not looking for spoilers; just any advice for figuring out what a villager loves.

Some of them do in dialogue or even when they send you gifts they’ll mention if it’s a favorite of theirs too, but you’ll also learn from other townspeople and from torn pages you find. The cafe does sell hot chocolate, but I think it’s only in winter.

You can always check the wiki if you’re getting frustrated or unsure of what items someone might like/love

They seem like they’ll eventually be giftable, but for now don’t have much purpose. I think they’re needed for one craft item, one of the scents you eventually unlock.

yes thats the games wiki, the guide site is just another alternate source
both have their benefits!
guide site is semi more automated in its updating, but overall the wiki still has more info available game wide

Mark also loves ||tomato soup||, that was my go-to gift (past tense bc he's at 6 hearts)
