i have coral island for the xbox pc. if i got it over on steam, would i have to start again? or can i transfer my game across

Reason
XBox is currently about 6 versions behind steam. While the files tend to work for a bit, people,have to start over because it ends up corrupt because of the version issues

So, just to verify, if I want to get the steam version, I'll lose all my progress so far? I'm still on year 1 but I've completed all of the ocean missions available to me (and healed the coral), I have multiple coops/barns and animals to fill it, and I've already pushed thru most the altars that are available at my point. (not to mention averaging about 2-5k a day) and I feel like I need to do this sooner, rather than later, if that's the case

i highly recommend steam over game pass because microsoft doesn't like giving you guys the hot fixes

So, if it's not financially phesiable for me rn, then it'd probably be safer to wait for the next big patch to hit game pass and hope that it isn't too big of a jump from the steam version?

maybe they get better when the game is fully released

as far as just waiting- you can honestly- you're just going to have bugs that are already fixed and there's nothing to team can do about it- it'll be fixed when the next big update comes out at least though

bet, that's whats important to me, tbh. Bugs are expected in early release, so I'll just make sure to note in any reports that I'm on GP jic it's already been fixed

there's a minor change to the underwater quest and that's because of a new bug- where open the gate will be a brand new quest instead of attached to the end of the silver kelp area- but overal content is the exact same

Maybe I'm NOT as far in the ocean as I thought. Cause I haven't had to present kelp at all. So I guess I need to hunt the sea better 😅 I just know I have no quest for it, and thought I cleared everything already

you're not presenting kelp at all -you just do all 20 corals in silver and you're done
