Hello, this isn't exactly a bug so I hope posting it here is the correct place. I just fished 2 archer fishes (ocean) and a trout (lake) in the river outside the farm.

Farm river is the correct fishing location for those
The in game descriptions of the fish are not a direct indicator of where to locate them
