How do I get these items? I got a mail to go to the Beach Shack and I did, nothing happened when I went there and it's been several days

The basic net & pole are given via cutscene when you go to the beach shack after you get that letter
If your inventory was full at the time of cutscene, the items will be sent to you via the mail instead
If the cutscene did not trigger, try again on a sunny day
If none of the above works, you will still have access to the higher tier options available to purchase at the beach shack (which are better to use than the beginner ones anyways & def worth the money)
Outside of the above, I would not know why things would not work as intended

Yeah the 3rd was raining and I went on the 4th when it was sunny. Ig I'll save up for the better fishing rod
