i'm trying to keep clearing trash to clear the ocean but idk if this top part of the map is accessible. i cant find a way to get to it since its past the space for the mermaid kingdom (which is inaccessible rn). i also haven't come across any gold kelp, and i believe ive completed all the little ocean monuments that i can rn. would greatly appreciate any help or pointers!

that top bit is not accessible at all because you'd have to go through the MK to get to it. Gold kelp is a bit hit an miss - i have a bit more luck with that by opening shimmering chests, and very rare drops from clovers on the beach. otherwise you can buy them from ling's i think.
