My fishing line breaks 99% of the time when I fish. The pole/line breaks pretty much every time unless its trash. I click as fast as I can and it still always breaks. I'd love any help cause I love fishing in games and its unfortunately close to impossible 😦 I've maybe caught 5 fish overall in all the time I've played.

It takes time to figure out when to jiggle the line (press quickly) and when to hold down the button to reel in fish. The higher grade the fishing pole, the easier it is. Updated pole is available at beach shack

I think you are misunderstanding the fishing mechanic, it's not about speed, it's about getting the progress bar to fill up without having the wiggly lines hit the sides

you should hold down the button when the wiggly line is more steady/slower, and release it when the wiggly line starts speeding up

it can take a couple minutes when you have a lower grade fishing pole, but unless it's a legendary(?) fish you should be able to catch it with time

I tried exactly what you did and it worked!!! I cant believe I was doing it wrong the whole time lol

It took me a couple of tries to figure it out at first, definitely a different fishing mechanic than some other games (but much more enjoyable imo since speed is hard for me)

Now that I'm getting the hang of it, oh yes its so much more enjoyable! I think most of the ones I've done involve hitting a button a precise time, clicking as fast as you can, etc. Thank you again for telling me how to do it cause now I haven't missed a single fish yet. 🐟

At some point the line Will snap again bc it'll be a "legendary" fish (not sure of the correct word here) but those are obviously rare so it won't happen often
