Yesterday and Today (6/13/2023) I have been randomly crashing and receiving a message that my GPU is out of memory while loading a texture (which is not specified).

Reproduction steps:
It hasn't happened in the same location twice. The first time it happened on my farm, the second time it happened in town going toward the museum.

Repro Rate:
How often does the crash occur? I have crashed twice in the last 2 days. Yesterday I simply stopped playing for the day. Today I haven't logged back in to see if it happens again. Being random I don't know when it will happen so it could take time or be right away.

Crash log :
I haven't seen a text box, simply 2 dialog boxes appear. I will screen shot them and insert the information here. If there's somewhere to access this post crash, I can find it that way.

I never received a crash log. I've looked around the files but haven't come across anything. Where can I find it?

I have been trying to get it to happen again to get the error dialog but it hasn't happened yet.

I did run a .net update after the 2nd crash and did a pc restart which could have fixed it but not conclusively.

If I have it happen again I will post the error message and number. Thanks

I encountered the same thrice in a row when designing my farm. I used the architect desk to move things, then proceed on adding tiles and other outdoor decorations. The game freezes, game not responding in task manager, and memory usage is at 98% to 99%. I lowered the game settings to medium then low, but to no avail. Game still freezes. No error messages in screen. I have to end the game in task manager.

I'm having the same crash prompt while diving.
it happens after some time diving when I open the map/menu or when I try to go back to surface.

I play on a M.2 nvme SSD
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB
2x32GB DDR5 RAM
Windows 11

all drivers are up to date

i haven't gotten the issue, but wanted to say to help the devs - video memory is different than RAM/memory as the term is usually used. it might help the devs to post how much video memory everyone's video card has. a RTX3070 could have 8GB or 12GB video memory for example depending on the manufacturer that made it. which would affect how soon you run out of memory. the easiest way to find out how much memory your video card has is look at Task Manager, under the Performance tab. at the bottom where it says Dedicated GPU Memory is what you're looking for.
