Ling still not coming to pier

I didn’t go to pier when I got the letter and apparently that’s why I can’t get access to get to the silver kelp. I read that it was patched in but she’s still not coming. I’m already in fall and could really use the silver kelp for sprinklers now. I can’t afford to keep buying it from her 🥲

I'm having this same error- I even got the mermaid cutscene and have the trash portal unlocked, I can go diving, but I cannot go past either two oily vines! I'm assuming we have the same error in which case yes we can still go diving but can't get lower than 20 meters.

Can you get into the first silver kelp area? Or the roots don’t retreat to go down the main stairs?

Do you have all 20 done?

Yeah, the mermaid cutscene happened and I believe that's triggered by the 20

Did you got to the pier the day you got the letter?

Sounds like it’s bugged and I don’t think that was fixed in the most recent patch

I did not (and neither did midsummer) - I was hoping it was a bug that could be fixed if devs are aware of it! 😦

There’s no bug report at all for this, can you go do that? Exactly what you explained here- didn’t go to the pier on the 8th, could go diving but no ling scene, everything else worked till mermaid scene and now you’re stuck? Please ❤️

have the same problem as midsummer. I know there is an extractor for the bronze kelp etc, but I'm missing it now. and I already had the cutscene with the merfolk

Is your save new, as in created this past month or older? If you started your save before 0.2 it could be a different issue than if it’s created after.

there is no fix for that one. you'll need a brand new save- they won't be adding a fix either from the sounds of it- too old

They’ve fixed it so that this quest doesn’t bug out on new saves now but they’re unable to fix the saves from previous where it’s already broken
