crash always happens within a miniut or 2 of using my axe to get hardwood in second forest

I'm having the same issue. Copying details from bug reports, I put this in the wrong place initially.

After unlocking access to the forest where you can get hardwood, my game frequently crashes when visiting the area.

Reproduction steps: Go to deeper forest area, chop hardwood log, continue moving through the area, game crashes.

I didn't have crashes before unlocking this area.

Input Mode: Keyboard/Mouse

Reproduction rate: How often does the bug happen? Frequent, estimated 90% of the time.

Some attempted fixes:

I noticed my NVIDIA driver wasn't set to the most recent update from May 30th. Trying again after the driver has been updated. No change, same error.

NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Restore Defaults - Did not work, still seeing crashes with the same error.

Steam - Verify Integrity of Game Files - Did not work, still see crashes with the same error.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my game, but still experience the crashes. What I've noticed is I can go into this general area and chop the wood, then leave the way I came. But if I pass through that circled area, I crash (same error details as above).
