question overall about the game and big updates, continuity

hello guys, its been a while since i followed the game. and honestly, always been tempted to start playing but i made a promise to myself to not play the game atleat until marriage has been implemented. but..it is really tempting so just need a few question to be answered to let me decide.

is the save file basicly wiped with every big update, do i need to start a new game every big update. if not i might start playing the game honestly.

is it have a good like continuity every big update, lets say i basicly play the game and do everything the game has to offer, and then a big update role in. can i just continue my old saves and basicly enjoy all the new story and new stuff.

This is my personal answer okay so i guess everyone might have their own opinion towards this question.
“Big update”, no, your file still okay. I also still continuing my old file. But once the game is fully released, i heard it might be that all our progress will reset except inventory, money, and farm layout, but i guess devs will try to not get all our progress reset so this one also need more confirmation from time to time. After the update, it’s up to you to start over or continue your old file. So far i’ve been continuing because i prefer to do that. Some people start new game after the update to have fully experienced or other reasons but for a person that continue the old files, I don’t feel that i don’t have fully experienced, it turns out by continuing my old file also i still can totally experience the new update.
So my point is, it’s totally up to you to continue or start new game, i feel that i still can have fully experience of the update so i guess no need to worry to either continue or start new game 🫶🏻

But i also want to hear from other players that i’d like to know towards your question, i guess this is also interesting question
