After updating the May update I was playing and the game crashed. When I reloaded, my entire save file was gone. The save file was 269 hours worth of play, so pretty devastated to lose it. Is there any way to restore it?

so i've since deleted my dailysave4 file
but you're going to take whatever save file you see and rename it on the first page
and then take your copied file and name it whatever your previous one was
so if it was dailysave_0_replaced
and then the copied file becomes dailysave_0.sav
let me know if that doesn't make sense

as long as the file you copied from backups has the name of your save file- and you changed the original save file to something else- then you're good to go

So now I cant leave this screen after seeing the goddess. I just freeze right here and the only thing I'm able to do is pull up inventory. But this screen remains. Any idea what to do?

yeah it's broken and a fix is being worked on- sorry i'm in DND right now
once you get to a spot after that, go to sleep so your day saves and then close out and reload the game

No im stuck from that spot by the transport. As long as i dont go to the goddess im good, but if i go there I cant leave that spot and end up having to shut down and restart the game from the beginning of that day.
So just avoid the goddess for now?

oh no- you're not alone- it's a big bug but yeah- i'd just set anything you need to put in the altars until it's fixed

Go at the end of the day. Pass out. You will have your day saved, go through the pass out screen. The dialog box stays so once your next day starts close the game and reopen. The dialog box should be gone, your stamina will be increased and you should never get that problem again.

I appreciate you! I was able to play through the new update for roughly 6 hours last night before it happened. So if it comes down to needing to start a new game I'm not so freaked out about it this time

I just want to say thank you for this. I deleted the wrong save file tonight before the big update and i was so worried it was gone. I had a good nest egg of money to start a brand new farm tomorrow. So thank you for all this!
