sprinkler with attachment

Can you not remove it ? I can't move the sprinkler, I suppose because I attached the fertilizer thing to it, but how do you remove it ?
my pickaxe is currently being upgraded, is this because I'm using the axe ?

As far as I know, you only can use the pickaxe to remove this kind of stuff
