Is this a one-use item?

I had the one I was gifted from Ling and it only spread fertilser once (i think?) and it didn't do this when I laid down a new set of seeds? Am I supposed to replace it? re-fill it?

you need to refill it with fertiliser once it runs out. Click on the attachment and there will be a pop up menu. Just place your fertiliser in the slots and then each time you plant new seeds it should fertilise it automatically but it needs to be loaded. I too didn't realise how to use it at first. I wish they would have little pop up tutorials for new equipment.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure how I feel about that given you don't use energy to fertilize anyway. It seems a bit useless for something that costs 5k a piece? Might be some feedback for them?

because I was hoping this meant I wouldn't have to make fertilizer anymore. that's what makes sense to me and makes it worthwhile.

i guess it's a little time consuming to lay it so saves you time. I had all three variations in the beta but it's remembering to fill them that gets me.

Can you load like 99 fertilizer in it and it uses those up over several plantings or do you have to fill up the exact number before each planting?

In beta it used to discard leftover seeds/fertilizer. No idea about now.

this was fixed at the end of beta. it's fine now

so it'll stay in there- but the item isn't "smart" enough to know when it needs to run or not so you'll just hit interact with it when you need it to run
