game wont open

Reproduction steps: trying to open game. pressing playing on steam, play button changes from "play" to running, then an error message appears ( see attaches). then error messages closes and the game ends.

Input Mode: mouse

Reproduction rate: 100%

Game Version: Public Summer Update

PC Specs: linux mint 20.3, NVIDIA Corporation GP104BM [GeForce GTX 1070 Mobile], Intel© Core™ i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz × 6

unfortunately, after the update that was sent out today i no longer get that same issue and instead the exe loads up but stays on a black screen for a very long time. if it helps though yesterdays error message says that i needed to download the microsoft c++ runtime.

i see, then did the blackscreen eventually bring you to the title screen menu, or stays like that with the pop up error window? or if you could get a video recording of the problem, we'll be able to check on the problem quickly!
