some 2nd year event

I just finished my first winter and saw on the calendar theres "some 2nd year event" on like the 2nd day. So if i keep playing on this save, i wont get a chance to do that event once its released unless i start a new save? Im guessing the event wont be created for quite some time so id be waiting a while for it if i didnt play until it existed?

Unless something drastic happens even if it says a specific year, you should still be able to do it- If not the last sentence will kick in
