why can't i offer items with higher quality than it needed to altar?

i wanted to offer yellow moray eel to altar but it can't because it was bronze quality, the altar needs only the basic quality but why can't? then, the altar required rice with bronze quality and i could offer my gold quality rice. So why can't i offer bronze yellow moray eel? thanks 😅

That's likely a bug, you should report it. All altar offerings should accept higher quality I believe
