Will offspring and children around the island still age/grow?

I remember it was a stretch goal that villagers like Archie and Zoe would grow up over time into at least teenagers, and that our offspring would similarly age over time. Is this still a planned feature. The Roadmap doesn’t make clear when/if this will still be implemented.
