Scared me to death

Is that actually a ghost? I freaked a bit when speeding to head back home

yes and that ghost mostly will drop something for you, usually crops like pear, cocoa bean, etc

Yeah I freaked out it was close to midnight when it appeared but you have to open up the area near the giants

yes I opened it, I even got pear from the area but I did not know there was ghost in there.. therefore I never saw it, but I've got something from it..

you have to approach the ghost and wait, the ghost will drop and i guess so far always drop something for me

I approached it, it got scared and ran away, but nothing was left behind. I wasn't sure if that was normal (have a chance of it dropping something but not guarenteed) and I was just unlucky, or if it always drops things and it's a bug that it didn't.
