I have eight sheep, all 100+ days old. I haven't missed a single day of petting, feeding, and shearing. I've never gotten Osmium wool.

i got osmium wool but yea rarely, mostly just silver and gold. hmm but i have silver hay quality. that quality does help to improve wool quality for me honestly. but i heard this quality also count as RNG but i can’t make sure this.

Do you let them outside on good weather days? I seem to get more osmium when they’re regularly let out

What’s your town rank and how many offerings have you completed? Osmium is more common as town rank goes up and offerings are made.

have you ever tried to reload the game once you shear the wool? maybe if you really really want the osmium, you can do that because i have ever done that also but not for getting the osmium wool quality. just a coincidence for me

I'm not super desperate for Osmium wool, apart from a 'completionist' mindset. I just didn't know if it was bugged or currently impossible to obtain.
It's the only animal product that I haven't received an Osmium quality of.

I get it somewhat regularly, but not as commonly as milk and eggs. Sounds like maybe just a RNG issue

Chance should go up with town rank, hay quality and offerings, as well as heart levels/happiness.

I would have thought so, too. But I'm Town Rank B, have completed all bundles presently able to be completed, and have full hearts with all my sheep. 😦
