WIP Ocean Map

I've started working on something from my projects To-Do list, & despite this being an extremely rough draft, figured I'd share my WIP Ocean Map anyways

10m/Bronze kelp zone marked
20m/Silver kelp zone marked

Main entrance to silver kelp (after completing 20/20 cutscene) marked with pink
Sneaky coral stairs marked

& my player marker is at the entrance gate for ||Merfolk Kingdom|| which I left excluded from the 20m/Silver kelp marking 😉

Sea lion down my merfolk gate entrance probably nothing changing until 30m diving is added with merfolk kingdom is my best guess
Underwater mine were highly speculating will be a thing eventually, just no telling when

Thankyou! I played in xbox when it first came out on game pass and picked up again recently. I remembered there was stairs to get to the southern most 20m part but since they weren't marked on the map I completed missed them this play through. Been circling the whole 20m area trying to remember how to get down there 🤣

I have been scared to explore kore on the other side of the map because i didnt want to lose the anchor near the gate

are you able to access the bottom most left side just below the gold kelp area? I cant get past there :(

Not exactly sure where that is? The gold kelp area isn’t shown on this draft, only bronze & silver (& the blank areas is what will be the merfolk kingdom)

The yellow spot on the map is highlighting a hidden staircase - it’s stairs made from yellow/orange Coral in game & very easily missed but very much needed to access part of silver kelp!

Are the turtles missing for anyone else?

Yes - they’ve been removed - in beta it was written in changelog as ‘testing removal of animal puzzles in diving’

It was a well liked changed in beta bc it removed the progress soft locks (milk turtle etc) when wanting to get to the point of having sprinklers

My feedback I wrote in regarding it was that I like the change, but also like the puzzles, and would like to see the puzzles return/be added to the deeper ocean (gold and osmium kelp areas) bc at that point it would function largely just as a puzzle and not a major progress block 🙂

Gracias! I didn't know if my game might have been glitched and I'd be reset or something. I was still saving cucumbers and taters for the turtles.

Now I know its not a bug, I like the change as well cause now im not forced to get a cow and can just take my time with the animals instead of rushing for the Bronze LMilk

what does the map mean when it says Orchestra?

That’s the name of that spawn zone

It is - each kelp zone has its own orchestra spot with the clam thing and music buttons 🙂

Where is the cave on the map?

I’m having trouble finding it diving

ive got them marked with the above icon -> the ocean cave for the area (one per kelp zone) & they can be used once you've restored all sites in the entire kelp zone

bronze kelp cave is above the pink stairs on map
silver kelp cave is in the middle of silver kelp (the connecting point of all its critter areas)

Hi! I saw someone recommend this post on Reddit and I immediately jumped on it - what an amazing job!

I was wondering though if anyone could help me understand the areas described on the map? I'm very new to the game (started it yesterday) and I might be missing some terminology so any help is appreciated.

the labelled areas are what the game uses in relation to the ocean critters that can spawn!

(so i dont know why theyre called waht they are, thats just the names of them hehe)

Orchestra is where the music puzzles are and kelp forest where the area is surrounded by kelp on the outside

Herding is like... you know, gathering animals together and making sure they stay in one place

Like shepherds do with sheep?

In the case of the ocean maybe it means fish are supposed to be gathered there

Where you are should be the cursor on the map. At least that’s how it’s working on steam deck.
