Yes same
mason jars= decent income faster (2 per day of whatever you put in it)
kegs= longer processing time but juice is worth more (1 per day)
cow/chicken= easy passive income just by selling milk/eggs or making mayo/cheese
foraging is a nok income per day if you do the perk for making it worth more first
example- that is 30 kegs and 30 mason jars- still good income on the mason jars but you eventually hit a point where they won't be processing anything
honey is good no matter what you put into it (almost)
option 2 if you dont want to do a bunch of machines is to simply take the perk that makes your crops worth more, then take replant and double crops and just sell the crops and don't process them into anything
spring = potatoes or cauliflower
summer= pineapple if you can get it unlocked
fall= fairy rose for honey
winter = snowdrop but you need C rank
the wiki is pretty up to date if you look at the "price per tile for 28 days" section and base your decisions on that.
so if you're thinking long run- your kegs will produce longer IE if you have 200 cauliflower at that silver level the end amount you'd make off that 500 is 89000 BUT it'll take longer to get that (unless you get a lot of kegs rolling) vs the 64000 for the same 200 coming out of the mason jar
hopefully this would be helpful whether you're just starting (from F rank) or when you already have your farm running
- foraging (shake coconut trees every 15-19th day of each season)
- make makeshift chest and put everything there except for your tools
- plant seeds and wild seeds as much as you can, little by little, buy seeds from the money you got from foraging and quest reward. (don't forget scarecrows so no crow could steal your crops)
- once you got 3000 + 1500 coins, buy ranch blueprint at the carpenter, buy 1 cow and pet them everyday until like 10 days so you'd get a large milk
- upgrade seeds and hay to bronze quality
- bribe the seaturtles to dive deeper. (they ask for bronze quality crops depending season and a large milk (wiki ready))
- complete your sesajen altar, activating orbs during diving, and donate around 100 collections to the museum to get rank C BEFORE THE WINTER OF THE FIRST YEAR.
- you can upgrade your house to have a kitchen. bug jerky used to help alot to gain money to buy more seeds but it got nerfed now (from 235 to 25 🥲)
- collect trash, craps, and kelps as much as you can to make sprinkle
- upgrade seeds and hay into silver quality
- expand your farm with a lot of sprinkles, then make alot of mason jar, kegs, and bee house, then plant the most worthy crops each season like:
spring:
- strawberry (greenhouse, mason jar)
- cauliflower (keg)
summer:
- pineapple (mason jar)
- melon (for mason jar)
- lily (for bee house)
fall:
- cactus (bee house, sam doesn't sell this after 0.3 update, but he did before and I think it would comeback next update)
- garlic (mason jar)
- pumpkin (keg)
- fairy rose (for bee house)
winter:
- snowdrop (I forgot the other 2 worth if ranked)
cmiiw or you can google! hope it helps 😁
*DON'T FORGET TO PLANTS VARIOUS OF CROPS during year 1-2 for cooking and GIVE TOWNIES THEIR FAVORITES (wiki ready). max their heart up to 5 hearts so you would get various gift (sometimes rare/unbuyable/needed for altars) in your mailbox and also a cooking recipe!
check the calendar. if you give them their favorites on their birthday, you would gain 2 hearts instantly!
Trash cans. I used to make a daily run through and pick up all the scavenger items and hit every trash can.
can u tell me why i should copmlete sesajen, orbs, and donate 100 collections before winter 1 year? bcz i am now at fall 1 year😅
All available winter seeds currently in the game require town rank C
Also while scavenging can be useful, especially if you're running around the island anyways, it doesn't give much profit per time/energy invested compared to crops
because in the winter, the seeds are only available for rank C. there would only be 3 kinda seeds.. and it's needed for winter sesajen.
if you miss on the 1st year you have to complete it/wait for it after a year.. kinda waste of time imho
oh don't forget to plant your wild seeds I guess it would grow to a random crop
Pretty sure wild seeds in winter only give tea plants
wow i dont think i can complete that😆😅 but thanks for the answers
