I'm 2 years in and i still don't know how to use bait:( can someone tell how? planning to use it to catch silver koi & silver sardine

Equip it in your inventory screen. There is a place to click and drag it to.

but don’t forget to unequipped it, after you exit/reload the game, there’s a bug that your bait will lose. i suggest unequipped it after you finish your fishing activity
