Hello! I’m just curious what others are doing with all the produce (milk, eggs, wool) and crops. I’ve create storage chests for produce and another for crops. I have three of each machine (mayo, cheese, the barrel that turns crops to juice, etc) so that I can create higher value items to sell, but I still have gobs of produce and crops. Just curious if others keep a lot on hand or just sell off the raw produce and crops? I’m trying to build up a nice cushion of money and appreciate any input anyone has! Thanks! 😃

well for me, i store every crops from every quality around 10 in my chests. same with the dairy and forgeable stuff. it’s just for my collection haha
because i also still need in money so i prioritize to sell them or put them in machine (barrel, mason jar).
but yes i saw a player in youtube that store a lot in higher quality crops and dairy for the production, if you focus on that maybe can have more in your chest to make them (or if you love cooking maybe can store more in your chest). i also store more in my chest for strawberries, grapes, melon, etc (high price crops). same with wool that i store a bit more because quite expensive if you turn them into cloth.
it’s your choice, depends on your needs
i’d love to hear from anyone here also with their farming life especially in storing crops and dairies, and also production with the machines

My ranch is quite small (4 in coop and 4 in barn), so I usually just put the wool in my loom, the chicken eggs (3 a day) in a mayo machine, and the duck eggs in another. Milk I turn into cheese but I have to admit it's kind of stacking up. I keep some though because it can be used for cooking.

For my crops, um, I think I'm just a dragon with its hoard. I like planting a wide variety of seeds for fun and seeing what I get, so I'm constantly behind because the shipping bin just doesn't have enough space, plus I always keep extras in case they give us the soft-reset in another patch

I keep a small stack of everything for cooking. After that, I tend to process the highest quality items of the highest value items I am growing and sell the rest directly as produce. Basically, I keep enough of the highest value items that I can keep all my machines running (fully loaded) only running close to running out when the next big harvest will be occurring. I make a lot of money this way - because I get the benefit of artisan $'s but also make good money from the direct produce sales. As for the animal products - I only keep up to 2 animals of each type so I have sufficient machines on hand to process all of their production into an artisan product.

I've kept at least one of each quality - just in case we ever need them for an alter or other offering. Same with fish and insects. I have a lot of storage containers...
