Having problems getting close enough to catch these moths. Anyone else having this issue.

That's basically as close as I can get without it running for the hills instantly

I noticed in beta that some of the bugs were less aware when I approached them head on instead of from behind - perhaps try that?
Bc I looks as tho you have the quality net + ground insect scent B in use already, which is def the combo to go for

If you're high enough level, wouldn't a flying insect scent be better?

The one that’s available is only a 10% buff, which when I tested them all didn’t have a noticeable difference
Ground insect B with the 40% has been the best overall
Whenever we can access flying scent D (40% - lvl 9 unlock I think) then that might change but that’s not happening in this version so I default to scent B

I've tried going head on with them an d still they run away. I'm not sure if its because I use controller too? The controller seems to be a bit more buggy this time around.

Try dashing towards it then instantly swinging the net. Most of the more difficult bugs have a sweet spot for that, usually at the end of your swing range after coming out of dash. I’ve had more trouble with this method since the recent update, especially with bugs in the eastern forest, but have still managed to catch moths and atlas moths this way

Even if I dash and end up right next to them and the insect turns green, so I should catch them, but it is not happening. Almost like some insects just aren't able to be caught.
I have the osmium bug net and catching on level 8, so I think I should be able to catch everything. But some bugs just don't seem to be catchable, no matter what.
