Hello, I tried to cook an apple pie using osmium quality butter, and it failed. Because of that I've tried using these combination and they gave me fruit tart
apple, sugar, flour, egg
apple, sugar, flour, butter
apple sugar, flour, honey
(butter used is osmium)
Once I switch back using basic butter, then I can create apple pie successfully, not sure whether it's intended...

Was it butter or large butter at first? AFAIK it must be normal butter, large butter isn’t factored in as a considered allowed ingredient/butter option right now / last I checked
& additionally of course there’s the mini game timing but if recipe attempt auto failed (no mini game pop up at all) then it didn’t recognize the ingredients

Hm... Sugar isn't an ingredient in apple pie, I don't think? I have apple, wheat flour, butter/large butter, and any honey.

Yea no sugar in apple recipe, but since using the osmium butter failed, I tried my luck using other ingredients, and those listed above gave me fruit tart which is not based on the recipe as well

Ahh. Okayokay, I get you. Sorry, I'll pull up the recipe data. I thought it was set up for all qualities, but maybe not...
And you are right! Osmium quality regular sized butter specifically is broken.
The usable ingredients list has base quality on it twice and osmium must have been cut off.

the other way you can get apple pie is getting it in the mail from Luke during Fall season. You need to have at least 2 hearts with him I think.
