sorry for the amount of questions im asking here 😭 and im sorry if this is a bit dumb but should i get the improved fishing pole or should i just save up for the quality one instead?

quality is going to be better. especially with the update coming. you won't be able to sell/get rid of of improved stuff so it's really up to you. you'll want quality in the end though

IMO you need the quality pole bc without it getting your fishing skill to level 5 (which is needed to unlock the quality one in the shop) will be MUCH more difficult &/take a lot longer

Similar story for the bug nets (I prioritize bug nets over my fishing, bc the net is also used when diving in ocean)

i had no issues leveling those skills with basic things but i was also doing like a full day of only catching- or only fishing and would typically get 1 level off that

I got them to 5 before I even realized there were better versions of the tools, I'd definitely recommend skipping the middle tier. It's easy enough w/ basic!
