I've been seeing that we need fibre to get hay. But I have a ton of hay and I can't seem to put that in the barn where my cow is currently chilling lol.
I thought I wouldn't need a mill or silo if I have hay. Am I missing something here?

It can’t be placed into the feed box in the barns - only direct into the feeding trays (mine don’t go away unless cow eats it, so 1 cow I fill the whole thing every few days etc)
Current storage solution for the hay you have is just to keep it in a chest
Once update is out you will be able to interact with a silo & it will store the hay for you

Thanks! I don't get a menu/pop up at the feeding tray (inside the barn?) but I do see that there's hay in there. So I guess my cow needs to chomp it up before I can add?
