#What's the difference between crops and produce?

I finally have enough kelp essence to upgrade at Ling's Lab but there is the option to upgrade "Seeds" or "Plants" and I'm confused at the difference. "Seeds" says chance to yield higher quality crops and "Plants" says higher quality produce.

Huh okay, I think I understand a bit better, I hope it's a little more clarified in later versions of the game because it sounds like it means the same thing

That's correct, fruit trees are not available and will NOT be available with the Spring update. Also, fruit PLANTS last two seasons and then die. (When fruit TREES show up, they will not die. They just won't produce fruit off season.)
