Sorry I have so many questions today. Anyway, I’m really bad at festivals. When the moon cake festival happened I went there when I thought it was happening and a few people were standing around but nothing ever happened. There was no food or anything. I’m in summer now and I see there’s a festival today. I think it’s at the beach. How do I know what time to go? Is it at night or during the day. I imagine it’s during the day but I completely missed the moon cake one and don’t want to miss this one

Also I got a letter in my mailbox one day and it said to meet them on the west side of the beach at 6:00 the next night. I went there and no one ever showed up 😭

on festival days (the active festivals you should be getting a letter to notify the day before) day of open the map & youll see a new icon on map for the festival
go to that area at festival time (noted on its map icon when you view it)
there should be an item (balloon or sign) in the area to interact with to let you start festival

then festival has a 'pamphlet' you can view ('p' with keyboard) to know what activities it has - spring is the only season (once the update is live) which both its festivals are/will be fully ready

that one was very specific with timing for me
(its a heart event cutscene that will happen any day after you get the letter as long as you enter the area at correct time)
i hung out before 6pm running in circles through the lookout & inn/pier entrances of the beach below the inn to get it to trigger
