Changing save files across platforms?

Stumbled upon this lovely game on PC Game Pass. it’s not a platform I regularly use and DEFINITELY want to buy this game on steam once its fully out and ready. Will there be any way that I can move my save data from gamepass to steam? I know there’s cloud saves but im kind of technologically challenged and hardly even know what that means LOL
