Hacking trash is getting tedious and I haven't even finished the quest for 20 shrines! I was surprised when I didn't see it as an option in the blacksmith's tool upgrade menu given how integral it is to diving.

Not clear, but maybe in future updates it will be. Right now there is no upgrade possible for the sickle
