What storage??

I recently tidied my home and as you see there's "put in inventory" and "put in storage", I tried putting my rug "in storage" however it's not clear what storage they meant by it and I can't find it in any of my chest too

Ohhh I got this solved yesterday. Use the same button you pressed to select storage and a menu pops up with your items.

I freaked and thought I lost mine. This is something I think the devs will be fixing

As far as I can tell, storage is a separate inventory just for furniture. So it doesn't clutter up your boxes probably. It seems to only be accessible in decorating mode.

If you look top right at your screenshot you see an box symbol that has the same key assigned as the „put in storage“ sentence.

Also is their an symbol for your normal inventory.
