I've read that they have a 0.5% chance but i got to year 2 now without a single meteor or satellite crash. Is this normal or a bug? I had one on my first save pretty early before i deleted it accidently.

it's all RNG, if it's 0,5% to have it happen, then it's 0,5% chance, I had 1 meteor in 5 years, then started again and had two meteors within first two weeks. it's just random, not bugged

I’m in fall Year 2 and had 3 meteors

& that 0.5% chance gets rolled each night, which is where RNG luck comes in.
It’s not 0.5% overall/on the save, it’s the 0.5% each night that bc that’s when the events would happen
