Say, your fruit trees don't die when Winter rolls around do they? I am fine with them not producing fruit once their season is up, but I am hoping that like with Stardew Valley, they don't die. Thanks.

Fruit PLANTs (which is currently available) die seasonally if planted outside. Fruit trees won't, once they are available.

Everything in the game currently is considered a "fruit plant" even though they look like trees. So, yes, they will die with the seasons. Super annoying. Once you unlock the greenhouse, you can plant them in there and they will stay alive.
Doesn't help the confusion that bananas, avocados, and rambutan grow on trees IRL. Dragon fruit's plant LOOKS like a tree, but it's actually a cactus. So at least that's accurate, in game 🤷🏿♀️
