Unfortunately I was playing and was very sleepy so I don’t know where my diving suit is. It never showed up in my inventory and I cannot find an answer as to how to get another one. Does anyone have ideas? Can I buy one anywhere?

The diving suit isn't an item in your inventory, it's on your player card but you only ever see it in game while you are actually diving. You can now just dive whenever and it'll put you in it.

Sure, it took me a minute too. Go to the docks and find the boat in this picture, go to the ladder leading to the boat and you should be able to interact with it to go diving.
