I'm working on my fish catalog, and I see a lot of references to Morning and Evening. Is there an exact time for when those start/end in the game?

I also want to know when evening ends and night starts.

My thought is morning (6 am to noon), afternoon (noon to 5 or 6?), evening (6 to 9?), night (9 to midnight?) but I'm not sure.

Atm it appears morning is 6-11, afternoon 11-4, evening, 4-8, night 8-midnight. Im 100% certain on night timing because of other events in the game that start at night (like black market boat, reading the first sacred tree)

Yeah, but - lights (as streetlights) turn on at 6pm.
Sharks are only until 4pm iirc, so...
