Tree trunk next to the abandoned villa

Hi, so my question is, can you cut the trunk that is blocking the bridge next to the abandoned villa? My silver axe doesn't seem to be doing anything to it. Do I need a golden axe or is it just not interactible for now?
UPDATE : it can be cut it you play with keyboard and mouse, you have to put the cursor on it and cut it down

as @raven holly said it worked before the update ... I got past it with a bronze axe

you have to keep on chopping until it breaks

Explosives also work, iirc.

an update for you all, explosives cannot be put down in front of it and the golden axe (I upgraded the tool in the meantime) does nothing to this tree trunk @gusty pier @raven holly @gleaming raven

I'm guessing they removed the access to things that are not fully implemented yet

like the festivals they removed (and that now only appear on the calender) because they're not fully implemented yet

I wailed on the trunk for 100 hits with a silver axe and got nothing

I used my gold axes and chopped through it just a few days ago, after the update. It's doable. Not a lot to see there although there was a treasure walnut (not sure what they're actually called but they are walnut-shaped and have green tendrils), and there's a tantalising view of something off to the side which will probably feature in the story as it progresses 😊

I tried it yesterday and it didn't work, the latest patch probably fixed it

try moving cursor a bit until you hear chopping sound, did it a few days ago with bronze axe too, takes around 8-10 hits
