#What is the best way to make money?

imo the best thing to do is to find a crop with a good return rate (the one time expensive crops usually drop a p good deal, the cheap/repeatable crops add up but it doesn’t feel like they do all the time) and supplement your income with mining and stuff as you set up intricate plots. it’s also important to save near the end of each season, as the start is always rough
Grill bugs and fish, blend fruits and veggies. I like doing the cheapest repeatable fruit and blending them, fruit smoothies are 165, greens are 140. grilled fish are 180
The Coral Island wiki has a list of all the artisan good prices if you want to maximize your income.
When you get strawberries, harvest them. They bring in a lot.
Until you can upgrade your house and start cooking: Mason jars, finding gems in the mines, kegs for fermenting wheat, barley, and rice as well as making juices. The more you can process your crops the more money they will be worth.
rush kitchen, buy blender and grill. nothing can beat cooking in this game. strawberry is substandard expensive crap and only worth playing with by end game = you have 1k+ crops and manual smoothie making is well.... beyond sanity limits. jars are useless, kegs only okay for wine = grapes in greenhouse. Surprisingly beehives with summer / fall flowers provide decent semi-passive income with too little hassle, sort table by Base sell https://coralisland.fandom.com/wiki/Artisan_goods#Bee_house
Artisan goods are items that are produced using artisan equipment by processing raw crops, foraged items, or animal products. Each artisan piece of equipment produces different goods of different qualities, depending on the quality of the ingredients. Artisan goods are produced in the span of a few hours to days and usually sell for more than th...
barley wine is bank
could be, but grapes REGROW, and you can therefore put fertilizer under them - and harvest forever. BUT, in beta wine is heavily nerfed, so likely next run i'll just plant full GH full of cranbs to make 90-95 fruit tarts every 2 days no hassle and be happy
Yeah, but don't dismiss things just because they're not renewable. Making money is still making money.
the fact you CAN make money never means the way of making it is great, let's do some math: barley seed costs 100 coins, fertilizer is OUT of question since you need it every time yu plant, so baseline is bronze quality with silver lab upgrade. Bronze beer is 520 minus cost of seeds = 420 coins per beer is profit, proc time is 2 days. OR, you can plant grapes AND put fert MK2 under them, since it's forever here. Out of 134 plants I get enough gold and osmuim grapes to only keg these, no silver or worse. And here is actual profits, but it's uneven so let's say conservatively it's 90K per 6 days for 64 kegs. In 6 days 64 kegs may process THREE times barley beer, or potential profit in 6 days for comparison is 420 x 64 x 3 = 80640, or about 80K give or take. Ah, and one more important thing: barley grows 10 days, while grapes regrow every 6, so basically for 3 grapes harvests you barely get TWO barleys, so resulting math is 90K x 3 vs 80K x 2 CONCLUSION: barley is more hassle, and less money: replant, restock kegs 3 times as often. For grapes - plant once, restock kegs once in 18 days, and get MORE money. You do you for sure, but numbers are always say facts
that's why some people are totally delusional and say strawberries or even worse pumpkins are great....... but in terms of gold per day it's total crap, and very simple math can provide hard proof no prob
Pumpkins in CI are just laughable.
Seeds are quite expensive, and you get only 2 harvests, and raw or processed - you get not even close in terms of return compare to ANY other fall crops (not even talking about grapes, even nerfed grapes)
Strawbs and Pumpkins are good in SDV, but not in CI.
