signed up for beta and my saved files are gone

I wanted to be part of the beta team and my progress is gone. Is this normal?

Beta will have a different save from the main branch to protect your original save, so yeah it's normal

Beta is going to be a bit more unstable, so yeah, it'll draw from different saves. I believe if you deactivate Beta, you should have the original save, still.

Some people have moved their save files over, but that's going to skew data a little bit.

If you go back to the normal branch it should direct you to your original save yeah 😊😊😊 at least that's what I understood from the announcement

You start on a fresh save, not random, so you'll start from the beginning. You could transfer your saves but it's not recommended as it can mess things up

You can use your regular save file in the beta, just make sure to back it up properly beforehand in case something gets corrupted
