Updates question

Hi there, I have a more general question regarding the update process that will be taking place. I'm sure someone with more experience than me will know 🙂

I've rarely used Steam to download games in the past, so I'm not so familiar with how the game updates. I currently launch Coral Island from a desktop shortcut. My question is - will Coral Island be automatically updated if I always launch through this method? Should I be launching it through Steam to receive updates? Or do I need to physically click on something to update it?

I'm pretty sure it updates via steam even if you use the Desktop shortcut - at least mine did update when I launched it that way yesterday!

Unless you've changed it, I'm pretty sure the desktop shortcut routes through steam by default.

And as long as you have an internet connection and haven't denied it permission to, steam will try to automatically update on its own as well.
