How do I make my sweet potato into bronze quality?

You can go to Ling’s lab and use Bronze kelp essence to upgrade all of your crops or put a Fertilizer on the tilled soil before you plant new seeds. I believe Ling’s upgrades will apply to currently planted crops as well, but I’m not 100% sure on that.
