Can someone perhaps tell me why Steam's price is like half of the price of Gamepass' price? I have never been knowledgeable in the area of game prices since I have never bought any. Your feedback would be appreciated ^^

steam > gamepass

as far as i know (in my limited knowledge lol), developers get to set their own prices on Steam and also get to decide when the game goes on sale. Gamepass, logically, would price individual games for way more so that it's more financially advisable to get gamepass (if you're referring to buying the game standalone that is)

Ah I see that does explain it to a certain degree

and yes I am referring to this game specifically

It may also depend on your location, bc devs can set prices in different currencies on steam. So for me it's about 150% more on gamepass than it is on steam!

I do generally get lower prices on my side ... for most stuff so it does make sense just weird that the disparity between gamepass and steam's is so much

#

like a 100% mark up does not make sense whatsoever lol

imo especially with games where you'd have saves long into the future i go with steam, i used to have gamepass but knowing games can just be removed doesn't make it worth it, esp for games like coral island

I see gamepass like a virtual version of fingerhut. It will always cost more because they are trying to make money off you. In the long run buying it on steam outright is typically the best option if you want to invest hours in a game. I think gamepass is best used as a, "I don't know if i'ma like this game. Let me try it out here first before making an actual purchase." type of thing.

Pretty sure its illegal in the U.S. I also prefer to support smaller dev's/games. And since its EA typically the price is less now then when a game is fully released.
