Haven't gotten it myself, but looks related to the story and your character's job they left to come to the island? So my guess is probably just story flavor but idk for sure if there will be anything additional implemented for it.

I got that a while back, but nothing has happened with it as of yet. So I assume that it hasn't gotten fleshed out into the story yet. Certainly could end up being a very interesting plot point though! :D
