#Where can I get recipes?

The only recipe I have unlocked in Sauteed Chard.

I don't know how else to get recipes, or how to use them when I have them (maybe its because I don't have the right tools?)

When you befriend islanders they mail you recipes. Otherwise it's trial and error (or check wiki)
