How do you use the Tap to collect sap from the trees?

You just attached one to a tree. You'll get their respective products after 3 days. Click to collect.
Maple - Maple Syrup
Oak - I forgot the name. It something Sap
Pine - Resin

you need fully grown trees to use the tap to the tree. I can do it so im sure it was already implemented

I couldn't get it to work on trees that the game spawned, but got pine resin from a tree I planted. Try that maybe?

Three days? Huh. Mine have been on trees since winter. It's now end of spring. I think they're busted

I did get sap etc earlier in the game though so maybe they turned it off

I tried all, they're sitting here for a WEEK or so ingame, zero profit, just a waste of time and mats

there are rumors player planted trees and generated initially trees may behave differently, but rumors have lots of sick imagination, i guess

I just pulled the taps off of a spawned oak and maple tree after about an in-game week or two of them not producing anything. The pine tree I got resin from once, didn't seem to produce anything more on its own either.

I took it off and reattached it to the planted pine, and I'm still waiting for my planted oak and maple to fully grow, so I'll report back if they do anything.

Okay I've started playing for a bit again and after 3 days my tapped maple trees aren't producing too.
I'm in Winter Y1. Gamepass v0.149295

I'll try placing some on Oak and Pine trees

this is bug, we need online 3days in game. if we log out, we need 3 days more (just dont off)

I put taps on the 3 different trees and was happily collecting from them. But during Winter (which I'm in now) I don't remember being able to harvest. Perhaps it's a seasonal thing? (Which would make sense to me!) 🙂
