No, we cant. Just make sure their food is ready and right click to pet every single one of them and they will be fine. Their heart affect by these 2 factor.

I've been letting my animals out all winter and they're all still at full hearts and happy when I check on them. Grass is also somehow still okay so they can also eat outdoors (only used 20 hay or so all season).

Maybe this will change but they don't seem to care. I keep them in when it's precipitating though, all seasons

Same, mine are all out and seem happy. They must be eating the grass because they are all full and the grass is slowly fading away. lol

How can I let my animals outside?

There is a bell outside of their housing that you right click on (it should say something like “ring to let animals out”). Barn bell is on the left side and coop bell is on the right side.
