LOADING SCREEN TAKING LONGER

Everytime I start my existing data I'm stuck in the loading screen. Tried restarting PC and Steam still it's stuck with the loading screen.

How long did you wait with the loading screen? Mine takes a few min for loading my savegame too, but it works if I'm patient enough

prolly up till now it's taking longer than 10 minutes

I tried creating a new game... it opens

prolly my file was corrupted for some reason

Aight nvm I take back what I just said. Tried opening the new game, it's stuck again

The pattern that I see is

1. Starts loading
2. Sudden black screen flash
3. Gets back to loading screen

If you're on steam verify your game files that fixed it for me

fixed it by changing the compatibility settings of the exe

I have this too up to the no responding on task manager! How did you change compatibility settings?

For Steam

1. Head to Coral Island's Properties
2. Uncheck Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game

For Discord

1. Head to Settings
2. Go to Game Overlay
3. Turn off Enable in-game overlay

For Razer
If you have the razer app running on the background

1. Choose Close all app from the Razer's icon on the tool bar

Procedure

Before you start the game, close all running applications on the background including Steam Client

1. Find ProjectCoral-Win64-Shipping.exe on \Steam\steamapps\common\Coral Island\ProjectCoral\Binaries\Win64
2. Right-click "ProjectCoral-Win64-Shipping.exe" and click Properties
3. Head to Compatibility Tab
4. Check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and choose Windows 7 or Windows 8
5. Check Run this program as an administrator
6. Click Apply
7. Run ProjectCoral-Win64-Shipping.exe

I suggest to open ProjectCoral-Win64-Shipping.exe on the Steam folder rather than opening the desktop shortcut or Steam shortcut

Well I got an error starting the game up after doing the administrator thing so that didn't work but running it in Windows 8 did!!

This is absolutely happening to me as well, but neither of those fixes did anything, unfortunately.

try to close all running apps then do 2nd option

I tried running the game on Steam, and it isn't responding. Tried to close Steam, discord and other running softwares and opened the ProjectCoral.exe, it works

Thanks. I’ll double-check to make sure everything else is closed, but I did try the second option, opening the exe file directly, and it didn’t work. I mean, it’s early access, may be I’ll just have to wait for an update

or set the game to windowed in low res then wait for the game about 3 mins?
