I thought I was maybe confused about having a scarecrow in a certain place, but i had 3 scarecrows across the top of my crops and now one of them is missing. Do scarecrows break down over time?

the bottom row of scarecrows the one in the middle of the two went missing, I think sometime in spring. Top row there was a third scarecrow in line with the sprinkler that I know went missing in summer. I had the scene to go see the giant, one for the hot springs, other then that the 2 night events i had was after the scarecrows were gone and that was the little creature digging in my bin and one tending my crops. I started a second file to play off stream and see if i get to fall with my all my scarecrows. Since I hadn't seen anyone else say anything I am testing the theory that the save file may be bugged.
I loved what i got to play in alpha and thought that was amazing, the added detail between then and now is so amazing. I am loving watching this game grow.
